Winton Castle has hosted many special birthday parties, from twenty-firsts and fiftieths, to seventieths and ninety-eths! Every birthday party is specially crafted to exceed your needs and expectations.
Opened as an exclusive use events venue in 2001, Winton Castle recently marked its our own 20th birthday in 2021!
From classic black-tie dinners and kilt-swirling ceilidhs, to BBQs and DJ discos, our enthusiastic events team will conjure up whatever birthday party you want.
Whatever you want on your menu, your guests will enjoy a sumptuous feast with mouth-watering dishes. These are cooked-up by our award-winning chefs using the best local ingredients, all hosted and served by Winton’s smartly uniformed team.
Designed for entertaining during the Scottish Renaissance, Winton Castle has a rich history of parties and celebrations, as much for royalty and celebrities as for everyone else. The ambience is a rich cocktail that blends grandeur with relaxed informality. We call it ‘Intimacy on a grand scale’.
The anticipation builds as guests sweep down the drive, see the immaculate castle through the trees, to be welcomed by the red carpet and a piper, flanked by the friendly Winton team.
Guests are greeted by the burning fire in the entrance hall which leads into five awe-inspiring, interconnecting reception rooms, from the Octagon Hall to the Drawing Room and King Charles Room with their intricate plasterwork, the Cabinet Room, and the Dining Room and Ballroom.
The layout makes it easy for guests to flow from room to room, from drinks reception, to dinner and dancing or party games.
Depending upon the size of your party and budget, you can choose from Winton’s flexible party spaces:
Winton’s Walled Garden is a relaxed, sheltered, private party venue, glorious with colour whatever the season, two acres of joy and riotous colour. And the elegant, manicured Terraced Gardens offer dramatic views of the Castle and Sir David’s Loch.
You can choose anything from BBQs or hog roasts, to picnics or fish and chips, with a gazebo and hay bales and the informal Potting Shed.
To entertain and encourage mingling, you can throw in some Winton activities: from tutored whisky or wine tasting in the Vaulted Cellar to clay shooting, mini highland games, bushcraft or falconry.
