A Winton Castle tour is always a memorable day out.
At Winton we don’t throw in references to Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie just because they are Scottish celebrities, but because the Setons who originally built Winton were friends and associates of theirs.
You are welcome to include a tour of the gardens, or play croquet or boules.
Winton Castle is open throughout the year for guided tours by appointment and otherwise on our open days in the spring. For pre-arranged tours, we can provide refreshments with tea and home-made scones, or wine and a finger buffet, or a picnic lunch.
Private tours take about 1.5 hours, depending your group’s requirements. You should allow 3 to 4 hours for tours including any tea, lunch or picnic. Minimum group sizes are 20. The minimum fee needs to be paid by smaller groups.
