For a truly unique experience in Scotland, experience your own mini highland games. Ideal as an outdoor activity with friends and colleagues. The unique Winton Highland Games draws on the farming traditions of East Lothian and Scotland.
Our activities include tossing the caber, throwing the Winton stone, ‘weight-for-distance’ competitions, tossing the hay bale and tug-o’-wars.
Depending upon what you want, we can also lay on the Winton Sprint (wearing kilts!), hay bale rolling, the farmers’ walk, throwing the Winton hammer, highland dancing and even piping instruction.
We can cater for groups of 30 to 300, and our Highland Games typically take 2 to 3 hours.
A Winton Activity Gift Voucher could be the perfect present to give this Christmas – all safe and socially-distanced. You can buy your Highland Games Gift Voucher on our website now!
In line with the current government guidelines, we can still run clay pigeon shooting (subject to guideline changes). Our priority is the safety of our guests and staff so strict Covid protocols are being followed. Please see our Activity Covid-19 Policy.
The Winton Highland Games has a competitive edge but always generates lot of laughs. They are regularly one of our most popular team building and incentive events for corporate groups.
Ideally, groups should be split into teams before arrival. Each team can be given a different coloured baseball hat (with your logo, given 3 weeks notice) and team name.
Everyone gets involved in a Winton Highland Games, even during the winter months, and there’s always plenty of whisky to be won! Prizes can be awarded over lunch or tea, by Sir Francis (if he’s available).

A highland games also provides lots of entertainment for stag parties and hen parties (minimum of 10 participants).
