Wedding Ceremonies Straight from a Fairy Tale
Within the Castle our very grand Drawing Room provides the ideal setting for your ceremony of up to 100 guests. If the Scottish weather is kind, you can have your ceremony outdoors in our beautifully manicured walled garden or the lower terraced gardens with the backdrop of the loch and estate.
Should your guest list be above 100, our Dining Room can welcome 150 guests or a marquee can be arranged on our croquet lawn adjacent to the castle for many more.

Within the castle, the grand entrance hall welcomes you with its roaring fire leading to the dramatic Octagon Room with your bustling bar. The Library is a cosy sitting room to enjoy a dram or two, surrounded by master pieces and intricate ceilings.
Outdoors the croquet lawn and lower terrace are the perfect setting to toast your day.
Our panel of chefs and caterers will bring to life a magnificent menu for your wedding banquet. You will be invited to meet your chef during your complimentary menu tasting in good time before your wedding. See our sample menus for ideas.
On your wedding day 100 guests can dine in the Dining Room or up to 120 guests seated over 2 elegant rooms. For larger weddings, a marquee can be hired in addition to the Castle.
The Octagon Hall will be your bar area with a full selection of beers, spirits, whiskies and liqueurs. We can even offer a cocktail bar staffed by our experienced and creative mixologists.
For larger weddings, you can dine in a marquee on the croquet lawn hired specially for your big day, right next to the castle. Our wedding marquees are beautifully lined and decorated, and have wonderful views towards the castle and south over the terraced gardens and Sir David’s Loch.
As The Evening Draws In
You and your guests will enjoy the freedom of the Castle throughout the evening, with dancing in full swing in the Dining Room. Any guests who prefer to relax, can be found lounging in front of the fire in the cosy Library.
Personalise your evening with fire pits, sparklers or fireworks for some outdoor fun, or have a whisky bar in the Vaulted Cellar for a real Scottish twist.
Wedding Accommodation
Winton Castle sleeps up to 20 guests in ten magnificent bedrooms, including our five recently refurbished en suite bedrooms and romantic bridal suite.
Additional accommodation is available on the estate in our three luxurious, 18th century self-catering properties, all nearby and about five minutes drive from the Castle.
