With Offsite Meetings and Winton Highland Games for Their Dispersed, Global Teams
Computershare held their company awayday for their Edinburgh and UK teams at Winton Castle, with other delegates participating in the offsite meetings remotely.
The investment technology business had a focused day of meetings followed by a relaxed break in the afternoon for an energising Winton Highland Games at the events venue, before leaving for dinner at The Bonnie Badger in Gullane.
Computershare, who have an Edinburgh office in St Andrews Square, are a global leader in share registry, employee share plans, proxy solicitation, stakeholder communications, and other diversified financial and governance services.
Myesha Azim, Computershare’s Chief of Staff, says:
“We choose Winton Castle for our company event because the convenience and flexibility provided were perfectly suited to our needs, especially having in-house event specialists to host corporate games, and the ability to adjust timings based on weather conditions.
“We had some local attendees from Edinburgh, London and Bristol and others joined us remotely from the US and Australia. The fact that Winton Castle has fast broadband with excellent wi-fi connections was clearly really important.”

“Stepping away from our usual office environment created the space we needed to think more creatively and break out of day-to-day routines. It really helped foster fresh perspectives and more innovative thinking.
“The experience felt wonderfully intimate. The staff were clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the castle’s history, which added real depth to our visit.
“Knowing that the castle is still used as a private home by the Ogilvys made the experience feel especially authentic and personal.”
