Rabbies in dining room at Winton House

Rabbie’s Trail Burners based themselves at Winton House outside Edinburgh for a company conference and away day.

Rabbie’s are well known for their personalised, small group tours of Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales. They take their guests on country tours on back roads where other tours do not go.

“Rabbie’s originally visited Winton House  last year, and were shown round by Paul,” says Jeff Ferguson, their Director of Operations. “At that time we didn’t make a booking but we knew the setup of the house and what could be arranged for us. We were looking for a venue within 45 minutes of the centre of Edinburgh so Winton was ideal for us this time.

“The 110 staff who took part in our conference came from operating centres, offices and cafes in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

“We were given breakfast rolls, teas, coffees and orange juice on arrival. Homemade soup and sandwiches were served at a buffet lunch. The food was great.

“The meeting facilities were perfect for our company conference. We started with speed networking so everyone could get to know each other, then went on to have a series of presentations and meetings. The day was finished off with a treasure hunt round East Lothian.

“We met our objectives for the day, as measured by a staff survey that we have conducted, and also reinforced by positive comments from our teams about the day.

“What makes Winton stand out, I feel, is the beautiful grounds and historic house with plenty of atmosphere and space for a large team. Keep up the great work!”
